warehouse barcode label generator

Generate warehouse labels from the identifiers your team uses

A warehouse can need different labels for bins, items and outer cases. BatchLabel makes the encoded value explicit for each template, so a location such as A-03-02 is not confused with a product GTIN or a case-level ITF-14.

A practical workflow

How to use it

  1. 01

    Separate label roles

Create distinct templates for locations, units and cases, each with its expected scan value.

  2. 02

    Map stable identifiers

Use exact bin or SKU columns and validate any GTIN/ITF check digits before generation.

  3. 03

    Test at working distance

Print on the final stock and scan from the angle, distance and lighting of the real aisle.

Avoid rework

Common errors and precise fixes

Human location text differs from encoded data

A label may show A-03-02 while an old internal ID is still encoded, sending scans to the wrong record.

Show the encoded field in preview and compare its scan result to the visible location.

Case and each identifiers mixed

Packaging levels can have different GTINs and formats.

Keep packaging level as a mapped field and generate separate, reviewed templates.

Know the limits

No live WMS synchronization or printer fleet management is included.

Industrial durability, adhesive selection and scan grading require a site-specific process.

Questions, answered

Before you continue

Can I make large rack labels?

Custom physical sizes are supported, but barcode dimensions and viewing distance still need testing with the installed printer and scanners.

Does BatchLabel replace a WMS?

No. It creates label output from supplied data; inventory state, allocation and scan transactions remain in the warehouse system.
