A practical workflow
How to use it

Measure the A4 stock
Confirm label dimensions, pitch and all four margins instead of relying on page size alone.

Choose grid and start position
Set rows, columns and gaps, then skip any adhesive cells already used on the first sheet.

Calibrate and print
Print a plain-paper test at actual size, enter offsets and verify alignment against the sheet.

Common errors and precise fixes
Fit to printable area is enabled
The print dialog can shrink a correct PDF, causing every row to drift farther from the labels.
Select actual size or 100%, disable fit-to-page and check the reference measurement.
Top and bottom margins assumed equal
Some stock has asymmetric feed margins even though labels themselves are regular.
Measure from the physical sheet edges and enter each relevant offset explicitly.
Know the limits
BatchLabel cannot prevent a printer from applying driver-level scaling or unsafe refeed behavior.
Custom grids require physical measurements and a test; nominal A4 size alone is insufficient.

Before you continue
Can I reuse a partly used A4 sheet?
You can select a starting position or skip used labels, but refeeding adhesive sheets may be restricted by the printer or stock supplier. Follow their safety guidance.
Does A4 guarantee the same printable area on every printer?
No. A4 fixes paper dimensions; hardware margins and driver behavior vary. Calibration records offsets for a particular setup.
